About Keepsake Grain
Keepsake Grain is an independent publication about handmade woodworking gifts and family projects.
Our editorial angle is simple: start with the person, choose an object that can have a useful life, then find a plan that fits the builder's tools and experience. We cover children, grandchildren, partners, friends, adult family members, and other relationships without assuming one family structure.
We do not claim firsthand use of products unless that experience is explicitly stated. Merchant features are checked against current public merchant material when commercial pages are updated. Child-related furniture and storage topics receive an extra safety screen.
Our primary affiliate relationship on this version of the site is with Ted's Woodworking through ClickBank.
How Keepsake Grain approaches recommendations
Keepsake Grain is organized around a simple question: what kind of woodworking project would make a useful, meaningful gift for a real person? We group ideas by use, recipient needs, project type, and plan selection rather than publishing a separate thin page for every keyword variation.
When a page discusses a commercial product, merchant claims are identified as merchant claims. We do not invent hands on testing, customer stories, prices, or guarantees. Safety sensitive child projects are treated separately because a generic woodworking plan should not be presented as proof that a design is safe.
The site uses affiliate links. If a visitor buys through one of those links, Keepsake Grain may earn a commission. That business model does not change the goal of the editorial pages: help the reader narrow the project first, then decide whether a plan source fits the build.
